Walid Sidani is the Managing Director of Kay International AMEA Limited which serves as an underwriting managing general agency and reinsurance broker located in Dubai, UAE. Kay International AMEA Limited was established in 2016 at the Dubai International Financial Center. Walid has also an elected Director at Kay International PLC (UK) since May 2015, a sister company approved by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

Prior to Kay International AMEA Limited, Walid served as the Chief Executive Officer at Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) from 2009-2014, responsible for driving the company’s ambitious expansion and modernization strategy.

Prior to ADNIC, Mr. Sidani held several leadership roles with AIG in the United States, Egypt and the UAE as the Vice President and COO of AIG Global Takaful, he was overseeing the company’s operations and Shari’ah compliant offerings. Also served as Regional Vice-President for AIG MEMSA (Middle East, Mediterranean, and South Asia), operating out of the DIFC, leading various strategic business transformation initiatives including market expansion across the MENA region and the implementation of AIG’s world-wide operations business model and technology platform. He was also a key member of the AIG transformation leadership team sent to Egypt to convert Pharaonic Insurance Company into what is now AIG Egypt.

Before joining AIG, Mr. Sidani worked as a Risk Management Consultant with Crum & Forster Insurance, a specialty commercial insurance carrier in the U.S. (part of the Fairfax Financial Holdings, for six years specializing in the Construction and Energy insurance sector. Mr. Sidani is currently a member of the International Insurance Society (U.S.A) and of the Higher College of Technology’s Industry Advisory Council (U.A.E). He also serves as a board member for the Emirates Marine Vessel Classification Society (Tasneef).

Walid holds a Master of Science degree in Environment Management, and a double major in Physics and Political Science from Rutgers University.
